Grade 1 GTE, Third Term

Week 3

Homework: GTE p.20-21     Presentation from the lesson

This week is a short week, but we were able to read Robin Hood in class. Everybody is doing a wonderful job giving their best effort to read out loud with a strong voice and feeling, but I hope you keep practicing at home, too! Have a wonderful holiday and I'll see you again when you come back!

Week 2

Homework: GTE p.3-5     Presentation from the lesson

Practice reading the stories at home - Nice, Nice Mice and Five Nice Beans. Remember to read with feeling, and pay attention to the punctuation! Also, pay attention to the different vowel sounds when you're reading the stories. There are many different sounds in the stories.

Week 1

Friday     Homework: GTE p.2 (due Monday)     Presentation from the lesson

We're back! Good job on the assessments everybody, but now it's time to start learning again. This week we had paper checking, and then we started learning about the long-I sound. Remember - the long vowels say the letters' names.
